CONTINUOUS MANAGEMENT EDUCATION @ CAMBRIDGE

Cambridge encourages college graduates to begin their career with Cambridge and get an opportunity to work for a leading organization as they complete their PG in Management Education with scholarship.

Our objective is to provide an opportunity for Cambridge employees to upgrade their skills & expertise in areas like Insurance, Banking, F&A etc., and gain PG Degree/ Certificates in management and domain areas as an add-ons to their work experience.

Campus

The programme is specially designed for Cambridge employees. Cambridge has campuses at Bangalore (Whitefield & Koramangala) & Shimoga in the State of Karnataka & Chennai in the State of Tamil Nadu. The program is being launched at our Whitefield campus (Bangalore) to start with and will be rolled out in other locations in the future.

Eligibility

For employees who are with Cambridge

  • Applicant must be a graduate to be eligible for this program
  • Applicant must have appeared for any of the CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ IBSAT tests, with in a period of 12 months preceding the date of application, with scores rated to be in the top 45% and the minimum acceptable score would be 55%.
  • If the applicant has not appeared or cleared any of the above mentioned tests or has not scored required percentage of marks, he or she should clear an aptitude test conducted by Cambridge, CamAT (Cambridge Aptitude Test) with a minimum score of 55%

For employees joining after 1st Jun 2008

  • Fresh college graduates joining Cambridge are eligible for this MBA programme
  • The applicant needs to clear the aptitude tests when appearing for their job interview
  • Applicants should meet the above listed eligibility criteria
  • The applicant will be eligible to join the course only after finishing the 1st month training programme offered by Cambridge

Scholarship

  • Qualifying employees, who are successful in registering for the course, will be eligible for 100% scholarships to complete the course.
  • In view of the full scholarship being given the employee will have to sign a bond to work with Cambridge for a period of 2˝ years from the date of registration to the course

University

  • The curriculum and the Certificate will be provided by ICFAI University, Tripura, recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC), Govt of India

Course Highlights

  • The course is conducted with 1 group per quarter, consisting of 2 subjects per group
  • The course consists of 10 groups or 10 quarters
  • Depending on the degree already completed by an applicant, some waivers will be applied. For example:
    • BE will get waiver of 2 subjects – Quantitative Methods and IT & Systems;
    • MA (Econ) will get waiver for Economics;
    • CA will get waiver for Financial Accounting & Financial Management.
  • Although, the course consists of 10 quarters to complete, with the aid of waivers and combination of groups, it is possible to complete the course in less than 10 quarters
  • Exams are always conducted on Sundays of January, April, July and October months
  • The exam dates will be announced at the time of registration so that the applicant is aware of the exam date in advance
  • The exams will be held on Sundays even if that Sunday happens to be a festival day or a National holiday
  • If a candidate is unable to take any exam, he or she can take it during the next quarter
  • An applicant gets 7 years to complete the required courses/ groups to earn a degree
  • Exams are conducted in 170 centres across India and few centres out side India such as Dubai, Saudi, UK, US etc. So even if the employees are posted on site, they can take the exam, provided the centre is available and they can reach the exam centre
