STEP 4: HIRING TOP TALENT
Currently a war for talent has erupted in India. This has led to BPO companies facing difficulty in attracting and retaining top talent. Cambridge India’s brand, market position and reputation as the leading high end knowledge process outsourcing player positions us well within the marketplace. Some of our current initiatives to attract, recruit and retain top talent are as follows:
- Strong Corporate Brand and position as a top BPO: Cambridge has been rated one of the top three BPO companies in the world and is featured as one of the top 100 outsourcing companies in the world in FORTUNE Magazine’s April 2006 Issue. We are one of the only decision making BPOs in the US-India corridor and make~$3B in payout decisions on behalf of our clients every year. We will continue to support a positive brand image within India and worldwide with our target recruiting audience
- Location: Bangalore is the preferred destination for top talent in India due to its many advantages including great weather, thriving business community (attracting almost 40% of overseas clients), cosmopolitan culture, and its family friendly reputation
- MBA program at work: Cambridge has introduced an MBA program that can be earned at work. This program is led by a senior professor of one of the top Business schools in India. The program is customized for our industry and participating employees will get an MBA degree affiliated with one of the top B-schools
- Affiliation with over 20 Universities: Cambridge invests significantly in ties with regional universities to co-develop curriculum for a number of elective subjects to better prepare students for a career in the services industry. Unlike most BPOs, a significant component of Cambridge’s recruiting comes from MBA programs
- Co-operative housing: Cambridge provides access to co-op housing to enable employees get access to affordable housing close to the worksite
- Strong Compensation and Benefits Package: Although Cambridge India has the pick of the top country talent, we continue to employ strong pay packages to incent and reward qualified individuals
- Campus Infrastructure: Our office campus is a luxurious and fun place to work and gives youngsters a great place to work and build their careers. A great deal of freedom is provided to employees at Cambridge. From choosing the caterer to the color combinations on each floor, the employees collectively decide.
